Loro
parque started in
1972 and was a small
park which only held parrots.In 1978, new species soon were imported
and Loro Parque began to grow. They did not get their first cetaceans
until 1987. Orca Ocean in Loro Parque is a new complex that
was
built in 2005. Work was completed in and in February 2006,
four
orcas from Seaworld (two from SWF, two from SWT) were transported to
Loro Parque via a Boeing 747.
